Our Material

sources of leather

We source our leathers primarily from the Nuti Ivo Group tanneries, operating since the 1950s and renowned for masterful craftsmanship.

Using traditional vegetable tanning—extracts from sustainably sourced woods and nuts—we achieve distinctive, beautifully aging leather. This meticulous process takes months: hides rotate in dyeing drums with progressively stronger solutions, ensuring even color penetration and unique character.

Each piece carries a signature sweet, woody fragrance and is predominantly full-grain leather—the highest grade. Only the hair is removed, preserving the natural surface with minor blemishes. This makes the leather breathable, exceptionally durable, biodegradable, and authentically timeless.

Lamma Belly Vegetable Tanned Leather

Being one of our regularly used leather, the Lamma Belly is a vegetable tanned leather which is finished with the process of tannic compound extracted from plants, an environment friendly material. The leather surface is bright and smooth and possesses a unique fragrance & comfort feeling, presenting the original outlook feeling of leather to its natural beauty. It is a rather unique type of leather in the world and preserves the sole nature of leather such as growth marks and veins of the animal. As time goes by, a beautiful patina will be developed, reflecting your unique living style and taste on it.

The Italian LAMMA BELLY leather was produced by Conceria Puccini Attilio, which is certified by the association “Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale" - guaranteed that the leather is “100% Made in Italy”and by traditional tanning methods and materials.

Unlike our commonly used Lamma Belly, the Svezia Tumbled Leather is rather heavily greased with a meaty body, which makes them a perfect material for luxurious leather goods.

Certified by the association “Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale”, it is guaranteed that the leather is 100% Made in Italy.

suede

Our use of premium grading of suede is a split leather that made from the underside of a quality animal skin. The fibers in the underside of the animal skin are less dense and thus give a soft and fuzzy texture. Suede has both a luxurious feel and decorative appearance. When the suede is properly brushed, it has a consistent color and grain. When suede is ruffled, it may display a gradient change in color.

bridle leather

Produced by Conceria Lloyd from Italy, the Bridle POLO leather is made from premium French raw materials with the traditional Italian tanning process.

The leather itself was being tanned using plant materials extracted from tree bark and various natural ingredients, then finishing by adding layers and layers of waxes and tallows on top of the leather surface after its being applied with dye and pigment by hand. The white waxes on the surface can be rubbed off into the leather itself which gives a beautiful sheen as a result. On the other hand, the wax itself also serve as a protecting coat for the leather against rain and water, and the wax would slowly be absorbed to the leather over time.

Traditionally, bridle leather was being used as saddle products. The use of a horse bridle usually lasted more than a decade which makes it necessary to withstand harsh weather and temperature. Not only the leather has to be comfortable for the horse’s skin but also requires durability for people to handle under high speed, thus this gave the bridle leather a renowned reputation for being the most enduring and luxurious leather.
